Katherine Knight grew up in Columbia, South Carolina.
She received a BA in Fine Art from Centre College in 2002, and her MFA from American University in 2008. She has also studied
painting at a variety of institutions, including the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and the Slade School of Fine
Art in London, England. Her work focuses on narrative, personal and family history, and the slippery quality of memory. She
currently lives and works in Washington, DC.
